School holidays time. Sweet, sweet sleeping in time. Didn't get as much work as I would have liked in the final week, but enough to fund my knitting, HIGNFY, Torchwood and other addictions.
Have been caught up watching Torchwood this week. It was really good, although part of me is smarting over the fact that Ianto died and Gwen is still around, but I don't think she is as annoying as she used to be. Oh, and I was completely stunned by the 456 using the children as drugs, but I thought it was really well done, Could've killed the MPs. Bastards. Sacrificing the lowest performing 10% of children. The teacher in me was ranting, as they tend to be the kids that I like to help the most when I'm teaching. Brendan and I went and got kebabs to watch the finale last night. He wasn't sick enough to say no to kebabs.
Sport is good at the moment. I'm enjoying Le Tour, my only complaint is that it has been on too late to watch and then get up and teach the next day. Also, hozzah! for the Australians doing well at the cricket. Is nice to see them performing so well again. Now just waiting for the Tri-Nations to start. I was tempted to buy a ticket, but have decided to stay at home in the warmth, where I can knit and relax. Plus, you don't get pervy close ups on the players at the game. *Fondly remembers Horwill patting Mortlock's butt in the last match*
I'm going over to Lizzeh's for dinner on Friday night, should be pretty good. I haven't seen my school friends since... well I can't remember the last time we got together, possibly my birthday in April? I tend to hang out with Beth more these days.
KNITTING UPDATE: I'm still knitting my hemlock ring blanket. I'm just a few rows off the fancy cast-off. I am digging the Bendigo Woollen Mills wool. Must remember to order from them again when I need large amounts of wool. When I get this finished I'm going to get back into knitting toys. I don't have any need for them, but I can't resist.
